you found that post eh... hehe ok here goes... i just finished making a new one... there's this guy in the ACM boards who's intent on making one... something went wrong so i'm trying to solve it... anyway here's the link acmgames.proboards66.com/index.cgi?board=internals&action=display&thread=1187181288&page=1this is the VHS roller "airbrake" this is what it should look like mounted on the piston notice how the TIP is tapered more... this ensures proper engagement with the nozzle... i think this is where that guy made a mistake... well it was my mistake because i failed to point that out to him. nyerk... IMPORTANT: there has to be TAPERING for this to work safely. i'll bring the finished gearbox next time we meet so you guys can hear it for yourselves. this latest version isn't as quiet as the one i did before... i over tapered it cguro... but its quiet enough if any one wants to do this it can be done in the field... just bring a wireless "DREMEL" or something

the silent piston head is a SCAM. trust me. its just a fancy way of calling the BORE UP head. now there's this ANGEL SILENT HEAD... that one is different, but expensive... i think it uses a suction cup of some sort. the airbrake works... the silent head is crap.

hi-rof with airbrake? or hi-rof only? we can lighten the piston, swiss cheese method... and short stroke the sector gear if you want hi-rof. matipid ako sa BBs so i stay away from hi-rof setups... though if someone were to challenge me.... hmmmmmmmm hahaha

hi rof lang. miss ko na yung mp5s ko na less than 15secs ubos ang 200 rounds. groupings and range were terrible but i love the fast rate!hhhmmmm.... i think its high time to go back to my table and have one running in a few weeks. i used to short stroke both the piston and the sector.
